| Project presentation | Ensemble pour la protection numérique des jeunes activistes, is a project carried out by Pioneers of Change with financial support from the European Foundation for Democracy, which aims to create open citizen spaces and channels of communication between activists in the city of Jerrada and its political decision-makers. As well as encouraging the young people of Jerada’s popular movement (Hirak) and the population at large to advocate its cause on social networks in a safe and supervised manner. To achieve these objectives, the project proposes a series of activities.
First of all, the organization of meetings between young people and local decision-makers, as well as capacity-building for the young people of the Popular Movement of Jerada, which leads to awareness-raising campaigns for the benefit of young activists on social media for safe and secure use of the latter. The association organized a symposium on the best experiences of advocacy campaigns on social networks in addition to a press conference to share the guide to the protection of activists in protest movements. |
