Project: Ensemble Pour Une Coexistence Interculturelle – Phase 1

The “Ensemble pour une coexistence interculturelle” project, run by the association Pionniers du changement pour le développement et la culture, aims to promote the integration of migrants and asylum seekers in the Oriental region, and more specifically in Oujda. Funded by Expertise France as part of the PRIM program, this project contributes to strengthening the culture of tolerance and coexistence by creating spaces for dialogue between the migrant population and the Moroccan community. Among its initiatives, the training of 10 young ambassadors for living together (Moroccan and migrant students, men and women) in human rights, cultural mediation and intercultural communication plays a key role in actively involving these young people in various activities such as awareness-raising sessions, café-debates and meetings with institutional players.

General objective:

Contribute to the integration of the migrant community in the city of Oujda by promoting the culture of living together and fostering multi-actor dialogue.

Incorporating a gender-sensitive approach, the project pays particular attention to the specific needs of women and men, both among migrants and the local population. Based on this approach, the association seeks to promote a more inclusive and egalitarian society by taking into account the specific challenges faced by men and women in their integration process, while strengthening links between communities for greater social cohesion.
