ENSEMBLE POUR L’ENFANCE is the fruit of the direct experience of Ai.Bi. Morocco, its affiliate Ai.Bi. Italy and its co-applicants, the association Pionniers du changement pour le développement et la culture – Oujda and the Fation Rita Zniber in Meknes, have accumulated many years of experience in working with children and young people deprived of a family and institutionalized in EPS (Établissements de Protection Sociale) in Morocco, to ensure their protection, development and accompaniment towards leaving the child protection system, as well as vulnerable single mothers and women. The project followed a precise methodology, involving the training of educators and children and young people institutionalized in social welfare institutions (EPS), as well as raising public awareness through a theatrical caravan, radio spots and awareness-raising sessions for children in the said institutions. The project also included psychological support for children and young people in social welfare institutions, and psychological and administrative support for single mothers. It also provided equipment for the EPS and the cells (edutainment laboratories, awareness-raising materials, medical equipment, training materials). |
