Faced with the challenges of access to healthcare and the integration of migrant populations in the Oriental region, this initiative has promoted a local psycho-social approach to strengthen local solidarity. By targeting women and children, who are often far from support structures, the project has met the needs of vulnerable people while helping to establish a culture of living together in the region.
General objective:
Strengthen access to healthcare services for women and children by reinforcing listening units and contributing to the culture of living together in the Oriental region.
Carried out by the Association Maroc Solidarité Médico Sociale (MS2) and the association Pionniers du Changement pour le Développement et la Culture, with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and local partners, this project strengthened the listening and support units over a period of eight months. In addition to psycho-social support services for migrants, young people and victims of violence, the initiative also offered an intercultural dimension with two major events: the second editions of the Regional Forum on Migration and the African Fair, known for promoting the social inclusion of migrants. These events have strengthened community life, bringing together diverse communities around the values of solidarity and integration, through a range of activities and workshops.
Project duration:
08 months ( September 01, 2023 to March 31, 2024 )
